This series by Gretchen Powell Fox was phenomenal. I loved everything about all three books and I feel like this will be a series that I'll return to again and again.

I'm a huge sucker for a found family trope, and this series has it in spades. I absolutely loved them all, I wanted to throttle them sometimes, but who doesn't want to do that occasionally with family?

This is a fantasy series with a fantastic romantic plot as well. But the world building and magic system really hold up to the romance, so I felt like it was so well rounded. It is now a completed trilogy, as the third book comes out today and I absolutely recommend it. I was lucky enough to do an immersive read for all three of the books, and I hands down recommend that method. The audiobooks added such an atmosphere and personality that I thought enhanced the overall experience so much!
